Personal Trainers & Registered Dietitian

Stephanie earned her Master’s in social work from Wayne State University, and a BS degree in psychology form the University of Windsor. She’s an ACSM Personal Trainer, NASM Senior Fitness Specialist. Most recently Stephanie became a program instructor for the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program. Stephanie’s training goals are to teach safe and effective training techniques that are appropriate for each individual, regardless of age, health challenge or injury. She will strive to create an attainable program that fits your schedule, goals, and preferences and believes that fitness can be something you can enjoy and look forward to. You just have to find your fit!

Rosemary is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor, Enhanced Fitness Exercise Instructor, and is Red Cross Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. She has over six years of personal training experience. Her favorite types of activities include, but are not limited to, strength and functional movement training. She believes that every person can improve balance, flexibility and strength no matter what age.

Julie is certified in the following: NASM Personal Trainer, and is an instructor in the followng: AFAA Group Exercise, Enhanced Fitness Exercise , PowerFlex, willPower & grace®, BODYPUMP™, and Cybex Coaching. Julie is also Red Cross Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. She has eight years of training experience and is a running, hiking, and water sport enthusiast.

As a graduate from Aquinas College with a BS in Kinesiology, BJ is NASM Personal Trainer and American Red Cross AED/CPT/First Aid certified. When not at the Y BJ is a physical therapy intern and a strength and conditioning coach. He teaches boot camp at our Y and during personal training, likes to concentrate on muscle toning, strength training, body building, and speed and endurance.

Jessica received her Bachelors degree in Dietetics from Central Michigan University and her dietetic internship was through Michigan State University. As a Registered Dietitian she is passionate in sharing her knowledge and love of food and nutrition. Jessica enjoys helping clients make positive nutritional changes for healthy living. She believes that nutrition and fitness are the key for top athletic performance, disease prevention, and a healthier lifestyle.

As a graduate from Grand Valley State University in Clinical Exercise Science, Amy is certified as a ACSM Health Fitness Specialist, and is Red Cross certified.  Her goal as a personal trainer is to incorporate goal-setting, injury prevention, and lifestyle behavior changing techniques into her workouts to encourage members to live a healthy and active lifestyle. She uses a variety of training methods including weight training, body weight exercises, cardiovascular training, and circuit training.

Terri holds the following certifications: NASM Certified Personal Trainer, American Red Cross AED/CPT/First Aid, AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Johnny G. Certified Spin Instructor, and Yogafit Certified Yoga Instructor. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BS in Public Administration.  Terri emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle with her clients. She believes in educating her clients on proper form and technique is important. She tries to give her clients the proper training, support, and guidance  to become independent and in control of their own health and wellness.
